Back to Web Development

The world is filled with some many exciting things to learn about! I sometimes end up taking side roads to explore different topics, which is a great way to find out about new things. However, I am directing myself back to web development now. Thanks to freeCodeCamp.org, I am getting back on track.

Here is a project that I completed today, a portfolio page that links to some of my favorite projects. It was enjoyable to revisit past projects. https://codepen.io/ethyl2/full/KBvzJr/

I'm in love with GitHub

Seriously, GitHub is such a great tool. Not only for version control, but for hosting my projects. Here are a few of the little projects that I have hosted there:

One of my favorite sewing projects is making fairy bags and filling them with candy or other little items. You start with 2 equilateral triangles, cording and beads, and end up with a cute drawstring bag with petals.

Raindrops on Roses

Creating a blog is fun to do! This afternoon was spent making lists of favorite sites and restaurants. Why is it that making lists is so satisfying?

We join the holiday photo card crowd

For the first time ever in our nuclear family, we are planning on sending out photo Christmas cards this year. They are ordered, and I eagerly await them.

This was made possible by the generosity and talent of our friend Alicia Westra.

Ways to get my kid to do his homework

He's so reluctant to do his spelling sentences, and I don't really blame him. He's required to use cursive, which is so old school. So I suggested that he write on his dry erase board, take a photo of his work with my iphone, upload it to a computer and print it. Much better. Much more technology involved.

Success! Hallelujah.
